Huron County is a county located in the state of Michigan. There were more than 33,110 people living in Huron County as of the most recent census. The County is located at the tip of a sub-region in the middle of Michigan that is colloquially called “The Thumb.” Bad Axe is the county seat of Huron County, which is bordered by Lake Huron and Saginaw Bay.
